bored to the bones, that’s what i am. let me see, there are 8 more days before my flight to bangkok and then approximately 4 hours before the flight back to pinas. so there. okay, enough of the going home blogging for now. too much already.
something unsual happened over the last two days. something i have not done in over three years in thailand. . . . drum roll please….
i helped , no scratch that, i did the laundry. hand washing at that. it was horrible. ha ha. not that allan forced me to do it. i mean if i had to do a household chore to save the world, i would be more than happy to pick out ironing. washing the dishes and doing the laundry are [to me] at the same category as life imprisonment and death sentence. ha ha. oa.
most of my classes are cancelled today. all my morning classes from tomorrow until friday have also been cancelled. ah, there is a GOD :D that would leave allan and i more time to tidy up the house. i don’t want to leave the house all messy and smelly. with only a week to go, we are doing things one step at a time.
we cooked bulalo yesterday. dang, i did not know it took 4 hours to cook that thing. but really, it was worth it. oooh. bulalo. my mouth is watering just by the mere mention of it. tsalaap!

could it really be just 12 days? *jumps up and down ith excitement*
there is nothing much to tell nor is there anythingi more exciting [to me, that is] than the fact that it is less than 2 weeks before i hear jeepneys, see mongol pencils, wolf down a bowl of lomi, and other things that i have missed so much about pinas. but anyways, let me give it a go.
this week has been anything but hectic. we had two days off because of the king’s bday and then another two days [sun-mon] because of a school affair. now, i don’t know if that should make me happy. you see,
free time + kai = shopping [in other words gastos]
allan and i have been trying to avoid bangkok and major shopping malls, but to no avail. sigh.
so, i was just wondering, who else is going home for the holidays?
gimme a holler!

i cannot believe that it’s not more than a month before i step on pinas grounds again. there’s much to look forward to. my family will be complete, after over two years of not being in the same room. i bet my pogi-papa will be truly happy.
the last time i went home [feb 2006] i wasnt able to meet up with friends. well, i had to go home to attend to some personal and business matters that i just did not have enough time to call friends. but this time around, i swear that i will be knocking on your doors till you say yes to a get-together or a party somewhere. syempre hindi ako manlilibre, haha. we’re going dutch! [yikes, reyna ng kuripot]
but anyways, we are finally done with christmas shopping. all the kids have presents and we are bringing home one big-boxful of toys. i really hope we did not leave anyone out as i would hate to see one kid feeling measly because we forgot to buy a toy.
presents for my mom and dad and in laws were bought months ago. i can’t believe that we started xmas shopping in october. me, miss last minute gurly!
anyways, yes. a shout out to all my friends: i am coming hoooome!!!

there used to be a time when i got so addicted to blogging. every single thing was magnified and categorized into bloggable and non-bloggable.
the bloggables:
i just turned 28. ok, i changed my mind. move that over to the non-bloggables. ha ha. anyways, we had a party at home on the 28th of august, a day earlier. we had a blast, magic mic was worked overtime. beer bottles all over the place, laughter heard until 3 in the morning. all in all, it was a success.
just went to surathani last week. the place is really wonderful. did not go with allan, though as that was a business trip. we were so close to koh samui but were not able to go. the phrase so near yet so far could not be more perfect.
will be going on another trip come next week. to kanchanaburi it is. i heard that the place is also amazing. good thing allan will be going with me this time.
finally finished and distributed the teachers’ manual i made for the school.
we went bowling last night and have decided to do this weekly with friends. we even made a booklet of records to keep tab of our scores.
we’re going to pinas in december for a much needed [as always] vacation.
hope to see you guys [this time] !!!

i don’t know why but i have been feeling extremely happy these past few days. it’s like something really really really great is about to happen. it’s the anticipation together with hope mixed with all the good things that are happening in my life now. i don’t want to say that there is nothing i could ask for, because we know that there is always something that we could. but what i am trying to say is, that even if this is it and that there is no more "more", i would not really feel so bad.
anyways, we went bowling last night. we were with iris [allan's sis], erwin [husband of da sis-in-law], and leo. too bad jing couldn’t join us, she was on her visa run [finally!] i had a great game, i scored 164 at the last game and allan got a 169. it was only during lunch time that i realized that the computer made some sort of error when it listed a spare for allan when it wasn’t. so bottom line is..i won!!! ha ha! i was a bit drunk [partida na yan] which is a bit unsual as i don’t enjoy drinking that much [not anymore..shocker, huh?!]
ahh. it’s my birthday month. hmmm.

truth is, i wrote a long post yesterday just before i placed charlie’s photo in here. but for some strange reason, it disappeared. i got so frustrated that i just re-posted charlie’s pic and then that was it.
saturday is usually a busy day for me. 9 hours of straight teaching. long gone are the saturdays spent watching cartoons and just wandering around the house or planning get togethers with friends.
i’m really excited and cannot wait for monday. allan and i are going on a little trip. will tell you more about on tuesday and i promise to post pics here as well.
gotta have lunch. i’m starving.
